What We Do

Wild Iris Private School gives families a place to gather, educate, and offer support. The primary focus of Wild Iris is to give children and families a community-based educational experience where children can learn and grow together. The world today has challenged families to consider educational options that balance health and safety. We offer a hybrid model approach that includes social and group learning opportunities. Much of the academic coursework and individual lessons are conducted at home by parents, who choose which curricula are right for them. Group activities take place at Wild Iris Community Park. Our school provides access to a strong local community of homeschooling families. It’s a haven for collaboration, interaction, social engagement, and group explorations. Where better to explore, grow, and learn together than in the natural settings of the Santa Cruz Mountains? There is no cost to participate or join our cooperative program run by volunteers and parents.

Who We Are

We are a small group of families that supported each other through this wild ride that has been covid. We have seen the effects on our children who have experienced a drought of social and group educational experiences and know they have been felt far and wide by many other families. We're here to facilitate a safe community space for families to gather, support, and educate in a social and collaborative way.
